The permanent collection of Ca' Pesaro is enriched with the exceptional donation to the Municipality of Venice of 105 works from the private collection of Gemma De Angelis Testa. The works, personally selected by the collector, complete and integrate the Ca' Pesaro collections for art after 1950, bearing the signature of the major protagonists of the international contemporary art scene. From Robert Rauschenberg to Cy Twombly, from Mario Merz to Michelangelo Pistoletto, from Anselm Kiefer to Gino De Dominicis, from Francesco Clemente to Mario Schifano, and again from Tony Cragg to Ettore Spalletti, from Marina Abramović to Vanessa Beecroft, Candida Hofer, Mariko Mori , Shirin Neshat, and many others, as well as a precious nucleus made up of 17 masterpieces by Armando Testa, the collection brings together different authors of international art by contemplating different techniques, geographies and cultures, all crucial in the contemporary world.
